Dark and Stormy Nights
Ocean Shores Short Film Festival
Foggy beaches, misty forests, and dark and stormy nights - no better place for a horror shorts fest!
We are currently in the planning stages for the festival and seeking sponsors to ensure the best possible experience for filmmakers and attendees.
We plan on making this event a city-wide festival including craft fairs, pub crawls, and various spooky showcases throughout the town during the festival.
Target date
Fall 2026
Friday - Sunday
FOR FILMMAKERS
As filmmakers ourselves, we understand how important it is to build a festival that honors the creators that put their heart and soul into storytelling. Currently, we plan on providing the following to ALL films selected:
Two weekend passes for each selected film (as well as additional discounted tickets for cast and crew)
One single or double occupancy hotel room for the entire weekend
Transportation for two from either Seattle or Portland airports (on select days)
Filmmaker reception/networking event
Filmmaker Brunch/networking event
A Taste of Grays Harbor Green Room featuring snacks and goodies from the amazing Pacific Northwest
Six miles of beaches, coast-side shops, 39 restaurants and speciality food/drink establishments (most within walking distance of venue)
Events throughout the weekend to keep you entertained and ‘key to the city’ perks
Proximity to amazing destinations. Let the fest kick off your Olympic Peninsula vacation. Ocean Shores is located on the Olympia Peninsula loop, home to the Olympic National Forest, The International Mermaid Museum, world class fishing, temperate rainforests, the Tree of Life (possible The Tree of the Dead by 2026), Cape Flattery, Forks for the Twi-hards, and so much more!
